Consideration and Approval of Resolution by Hidalgo County Commissioners' Court authorizing the submission of Contract Amendment Request No. #3 to Hidalgo County’s Texas Department of Rural Affairs (TDRA) Contract No. DRS010068 to incorporate additional funding, in the amount of $1,135,408.39, for the Minnesota Drainage Improvements Project and authorize County Judge to sign contract amendment requests submitted to TDRA.

The Urban County Program has been coordinating with Hidalgo County Precinct No. 2 in an effort to submit an amendment request to TDRA to amend Contract No. DRS010068 and incorporate (1) the $600,000.00 relinquished by the City of San Juan (a request approved by the Texas Department of Rural Affairs and the Lower Rio Grande Development Council) to Hidalgo County, and (2) funding committed by Hidalgo County Pct. No. 2 ($535,408.39), for a total of $1,135,408.39 which will allow the County to make regional drainage improvements to an area where the City intended to apply the state awarded funds.
