Urban County Program is requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for the City of San Juan Urban County Program Year 22 & 23 (2009 & 2010). The amendment will add funding to the Water/Sewer Improvements activity which includes installation of waterlines, fire hydrants and sewer lines.
BACKGROUND
The amendment will transfer 2009 surplus funding and create a water/sewer improvements activity to assist with the environmentally cleared water/sewer improvements project on Oblate Street and downtown alleyways.
The amendment will add 2010 supplemental funding to the water/ sewer Improvements activity that is environmentally cleared for the installation of waterlines and fire hydrants on Oblate and downtown alleyways.
The amendment will also create a new 2010 water/sewer improvements activity to improve sanitary sewer lines on Nebraska, Lincoln and Standard Avenue.
A Public Hearing was held on April 12, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. and citizen participation requirements have been met. Please see the attached detailed amendment.
The proposed program amendment will:
– Delete the 2010 street improvements activity in the amount of $257,203.00.
– Create a new 2009 water/sewer improvements activity in the amount of $30,895.55 that will add supplemental funding to the water/sewer improvements project for the installation of waterlines and fire hydrants on Oblate Street and downtown alleyways.
– Transfer 2009 surplus funding in the amount of $44,104.45 to the water/sewer improvements project on Oblate Street and downtown alleyways which consists of the installation of waterlines and fire hydrants.
– Create a new 2010 water/sewer improvements activity in the amount of $226,307.45 that will improve existing sanitary sewer lines to the following alleyways: between Standard Ave and Lincoln Ave (from 8th St to 9th St and 10th St to 11th St), between 9th St and 10th St (from Standard Ave to Nebraska Ave), between 10th St and 11th St (from Standard Ave to Lincoln Ave).
