Approval of a Proclamation declaring June 2011 Home Ownership Month within the County of Hidalgo.
BACKGROUND
In observation of National Homeowner Month and in order to raise public awareness on how to become a homebuyer, the Urban County Program is requesting approval to declare June 2011 Homeownership Month within the County of Hidalgo.
The UCP would also like to announce that Affordable Homes of South Texas Inc. (AHSTI), in conjunction with the City of McAllen, is sponsoring their 13th Annual Homebuyer's Fair that will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the McAllen Convention Center from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This fair is free to the public. If anyone would like additional information on the Homebuyer's Fair, they may contact the Urban County Program at 956-787-8127, AHSTI at 687-6263 or visit the website at www.thehomebuyersfair.org.
