Authorization and Approval to apply for the Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) Program with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
BACKGROUND
The program will reimburse local governments up to fifty (50) percent of the cost of eligible vests purchased for law enforcement officers. This will apply to vests ordered on or after April 01, 2011.
Applications are to be submitted online via the BVP System. Deadline for submitting applications is July 07, 2011 (6:00 P.M., Eastern Time).
