Urban County Program is requesting a ninety (90) day contract extension on the contract with ASAGO for the construction of sewer improvements in Colonia De Anda & Saenz in Pct. # 1 under the TDRA Colonia Construction Grant #729055.

BACKGROUND

UCP is requesting approval of a ninety (90) day contract extension due to extenuating circumstances such as that we found that a sewer section of about 680 linear feet that should have connected Colonia De Anda & Saenz to a lift station was not in place. Therefore, the contractor, ASAGO cannot complete the sewer improvements until this section is installed and competed.  The additional sewer section will have to be bid out and completed before ASAGO can continue with their sewer improvements.  The contract start date is November 30, 2010 and new contract end date will be August 27, 2011.
