1. Hold a Public Hearing to consider comments on a proposed program amendment for Precinct No. 3 to amend the Water/Sewer Improvements line item to add the re-routing to a project in the existing Year 19 (2006) work plan.
2. Consideration and approval for an amendment to the Precinct No. 3 CDBG Program Amendment as follows:Hidalgo County Precinct No. 3 is requesting approval of a Program Amendment for Fiscal Year 19 (2006) of Urban County Program Funds under Water/Sewer Improvements line item for the re-routing of waterlines.
BACKGROUND
A Public Hearing was held on March 13, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. The Water/Sewer Improvement project in Hidalgo County Precinct No. 3 includes funding in the amount of $467,000.00 from fiscal years 2004 & 2005 and the amount of $1,011,662.29 from fiscal year 2006 for a total project amount of $1,478,662.29.
The construction of a 500K Gallon Elevated Storage Tank on El Pinto Road in Sullivan City, will be cancelled. Funding will be for the re-routing of existing waterlines, located at FM 1924 from SH 107 West to FM 492, FM 492 from FM 1924 at FM 492 East to FM 492, SH 495 underpass from 0.359 miles North of US 83 to 0.347 miles South of US 83 and Business 83 from US 83 from US 83 West near Peñitas to US 83 East at Inspiration Road, to accommodate a Texas Department of Transportation Street Improvement Project in the Precinct 3 area.
