Requesting approval to increase the maximum purchase price from $101,650 to $102,125 under the HOME Home Buyer Assistance Program.
BACKGROUND
HUD program rules guiding the Administration of HOME dollars require that the maximum home purchase price of properties assisted through the HOME Home Buyer Assistance Program cannot exceed 95% of the area median sales price. The Texas A&M Real Estate Center recently released data showing that the area median sales price has increased to $107,500 therefore the area maximum purchase price is now $102,125.
