Requesting authorization to have Hidalgo County Judge sign the FFATA Certifications. The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act requires any entity receiving grant funds from the federal government to report this certification.
BACKGROUND
White House Office of Management and Budget issued additional guidance regarding the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act that took effect on October 1, 2010. This law requires any entity receiving grant funds from the federal government to report information through a centralized website. Hidalgo County is considered to be a sub-recipient and will be reporting the information to the Department of State Health Services. DSHS will report to the federal government.
