Requesting approval of "Amendment" (82nd Legislative Session, Sec. 706.005) to Interlocal Agreement as sent to Hidalgo County (through the County Clerk) by TxDPS for the: "Failure to Appear Program"--to provide information necessary to deny renewal of the driver license of a person who fails to appear for a complaint or citation or fails to pay or satisfy a judgment ordering payment of a fine and cost in the manner ordered by the court in a matter involving any offense that a court has jurisdiction of under Chapter 4, Code of Criminal Procedure inasmuch as Texas Department of Public Safety will not accept, agree or execute modified format other than original document with authority for County Judge or Court Member to sign.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:
As originally approved by CC on 06/14/11 under AI-26971Hidalgo County will collect a statutorily $30.00 administrative fee for each violation, which has been reported to the Vendor. The county shall remit $20.00 of each fee collected, pursuant to Texas Transportation Code §706.006, to the TDPS Comptroller on or before the last day of each calendar quarter and retain $10.00 of each fee for payment of $6.00 to the Vendor and credit $4.00 to the general fund.
No Budgetary Impact, because the Vendor fee will be paid $6.00 from the Administrative Fees collected. The service under this agreement will assist in collecting unpaid fines.
