Approval of Performance Statement and Budget Modification # 1 to request from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) the transfer of funds from the Reconstruction activity to the New Construction line item activity and to increase the amount of new owner-occupied housing costs from $25,000 to $29,500 under the New Construction line activity.

BACKGROUND

UCP is requesting approval of the line item transfer due to TDHCA request to move the funds because the New Construction activities should have been under the 15c. line item activity and not under 15b. The Reconstruction activities should have been under New Construction15b. “Not Feasible for Rehabilitation” “and not under 9a. Residential Rehabilitation.
                         
We are also requesting to increase the expenditure limit of $25,000 per home to $29,500 under 15. New Construction to allow us to add and build 4 new homes for the low-mod income residents and expend about $100,000 before our contract expiration date. The beneficiaries for this project will increase by 22 persons.
 
On activity line item 9a. Residential Rehabilitation, we are requesting to transfer rehabilitation of homes from one colonia to another due to not finding qualified residents. The total of homes and amount of funds will not change. The changes are as follows:
