On behalf of the Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1, Urban County Program is requesting approval to reject all bids received on March 6, 2013 for the Precinct No. 1-Street Improvements Project – Saenz Ave for FY 20, 21 & 22 (2007, 2008 & 2009).
BACKGROUND
Bid were received and opened at the Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on March 6, 2013. After review of the bid submittals, the lowest bid amount was $208,563.65 which is eighty-one percent of the Engineer’s cost estimate of $258,732.20. As a result, Urban County Program feels that there might be problems completing the project. See attached Engineer’s cost estimate and bid tabulation sheet.
