BACKGROUND
A CETRZ must be a contiguous area in the County. As required by law, the County published notice on December 31, 2013, and conducted a public hearing on January 07, 2014, related to the creation of a CETRZ. Adoption of a CETRZ Order is necessary to apply for energy transportation infrastructure funds with TxDOT. The CETRZ order must specify the actual parcels with the zone by tax ID number. When fund are applied for, the County must also include a road condition report. There is a 20% match if the County is granted transportation infrastructure funds.
