The Urban County Program, on behalf of the City of Weslaco, is requesting approval to award a construction contract to JLV Utility Construction, LLC in the amount of $277,514.00.00 utilizing Years 17, 18 & 19 (2004, 2005 & 2006) funds for water/sewer improvements.

The City of Weslaco opened bids on June 7, 2007 and JLV Utility Construction, LLC was the lowest of six bids received. Halff & Associates, reviewed and recommendation was made to the city for approval. Weslaco City Council took action to approve on June 19, 2007. The project consists of the installation of waterlines from First Street to Warlow Street in the alley between Calle Republica and Libertad , alley between Paseo del Norte and Bridge Street and alley between Second Street and Molby Street, all included in the 2006 workplan for the City of Weslaco. Project will also include the resurfacing of First Street and Second Street and other portions of streets being affected by connecting alleys. Recommendation to approve by City and UCP Staff.
