The Urban County Program is requesting authorization for the County Judge to sign the Combined Notice of Finding of No Significant Impact and Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds and the Request for Release of Funds and Certification for the 2006-HOME Funds for South Texas Economic Development Corporation, Inc. (STEDC, Inc.), a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) in the amount of $300,000.
BACKGROUND
In order for the Urban County Program to receive the 2006- HOME CHDO funds for STEDC, Inc. the County Judge or designee must sign and forward the NOI/RROF to the Office of Housing and Urban Development by the published time line. The UCP along with STEDC, Inc., is requesting $300,000 for the construction of seven to eight (7-8) new single-family homes, which will be located at the La Hacienda North Subdivision in Weslaco, TX within Hidalgo County. All environmental review/special conditions have been completed.
