BACKGROUND
This will provide funding for the purchase and installation of one X-Ray imaging machine for HCSO inmates. Purchase of the equipment will be in conjunction with grant monies ($49,000) from the Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department.
Pursuant to Local Government Code Chapter 351 Section 351.0415, commissary proceeds may be used to "(5) fund physical plant improvements, technology, equipment, programs, services, and activities that provide for the well-being, health, safety, and security of the inmates and the facility".
