Requesting approval to reject the Urban County Program written bid, in the amount of $19,500, for the completion of a hardship program-housing unit that was to be awarded to De Leon Construction.

BACKGROUND

Staff recommends rejection of the bid due to the total project amount exceeding the in-house policy maximum assistance amount of $60,000.00. The family was originally proposed to receive a pre-manufactured hardship program-housing unit ($36,414). The family also received $11,108.83 in debt payoff assistance. The total assistance amount would have been   pre-manufactured amount of $36,414, debt pay-off of $11,108.83 and the 100% completion bid of $19,500 for a grand total of $67,022.83.

Once the bid is rejected, the Urban County Program will re-bid through the Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Program to remedy the in house policy maximum assistance amount issue.
