Requesting authorization to extend fiscal year agreement with Mujeres Unidas/Women Together-ESG Program YR 19 (2006) until May 30, 2008. Mujeres Unidas/Women Together was granted a one month extension on December 11, 2007 amending their agreement until January 31, 2008.
BACKGROUND
UCP is requesting authorization for a second amendment to the agreement between Mujeres Unidas/Women Together and the Hidalgo County Program for the ESG Program-YR 19 (2006). At Mujeres Unidas/Women Together's request, a one month extension was granted on December 11, 2007 until January 31, 2008. Although assurances were made that funds would be fully expended by January 31, 2008, Mujeres Unidas/Women Together was not able to meet their obligation. In order to avoid losing these funds altogether, we recommend approval of the extension. The two year contract with HUD for YR 19 ends on June 30, 2008.
The grant awarded to Mujeres Unidas/Women Together in the amount of $207,168 will not change.
