Requesting ratification of publication of advertisement (in as much as deadline for newpaper was prior to CC meeting) and approval of draft requirements, scope of services and/or specifications for the following project: Request for Proposals for: "Substance Abuse Treatment Services" (services only) for the Hdialgo County Community Supervision and Corrections Department RFP No. 2008-036-03-26-VYG.
BACKGROUND
Draft RFP Specifications/Requirements for the "Substance Abuse Treatment Services" were developed and drafted by the Purchasing & Adult Probation Departments and forwarded for review to Mr. Tom Espy with the "Texas Department Of Criminal Justice Community Justice Assistance Division."

BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Grant has not been established between State and Hidalgo County Community Supervision And Corrections Department (CSCD) until further notice as per Mr. Joe Lopez.As per Mr. Joe Lopez, Director of the Hidalgo County's Adult Probation Department, advises the Purchasing Dept. that grantor is holding funds for this type of program. Mr. Lopez desires to solicit the proposals first to determine the amount of funding needed and thereafter request and secure sufficient monies to fund the project.
