Requesting approval of a 1st Amendment to the 2020 HOME Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Program Agreement between Hidalgo County Urban County Program and Proyecto Azteca, Inc. The proposed amendment to the Agreement will allow for a twelve (12) month contract extension.
BACKGROUND
The 2020 agreement with Proyecto Azteca included the construction of a total of two (2) to three (3) new homes for qualified families. Due to the numerous unforeseen challenging events such as: COVID-19 pandemic, securing building materials and significant weather events caused delays in the progress of construction housing units. As such, Proyecto Azteca has requested an extension to the 2020 CHDO Agreement from August 11, 2022 to August 11, 2023 (12 month extension).
