Discussion, consideration, and approval to submit the Public Health and Medical Services Plan as required by the National Association of City and County Health Organizations (NACCHO) for Project Public Health Ready Re-recognition.

The Hidalgo County Public Health and Medical Services Plan, previously known as Annex H of Hidalgo County's Emergency Management Basic Plan, was last submitted for review in 2016 and must be resubmitted to the National Association of City and County Health Organizations (NACCHO) for Project Public Health Ready Re-recognition. This plan aligns with the County's Emergency Management Plan, ESF-8: Public Health that was approved by the Commissioner's Court on September 7, 2021. The Public Health and Medical Services Plan consists of 12 appendices which outline the operational roles and responsibilities of the Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department, along with policies and procedures necessary to provide coordinated public health and medical services to residents of Hidalgo County during emergency situations. This agenda item will allow for the appendices to be executed by the designated signatories as soon as the review and approval process is completed for each appendix.
