Requesting approval to decrease the maximum home purchase price of properties assisted through the HOME Homebuyer Assistance Program from $102,125.00 to $84,645.00.
BACKGROUND
HUD program rules guiding the Administration of HOME dollars require that the maximum home purchase price of properties assisted through the HOME Homebuyer Assistance Program cannot exceed 95% of the area median sales price. The Texas A&M Real Estate Center recently released data showing that the area median sales price has decreased to $89,100.00 therefore the area maximum purchase price is now $84,645.00.
