Discussion, consideration, and approval to submit a grant application to the Texas General Land Office for the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Program and authorizing the County Judge to sign the required documents.

Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Program (LHMPP) assists eligible entities by providing grants to develop or update local hazard mitigation plans, or to provide cost share for hazard mitigation planning activities funded through other federal sources. Funds allocated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and administered by the Texas General Land Office (GLO) to fund updates and the development of the Hazard Mitigation Plan as required by FEMA and implemented through TDEM (Texas Division of Emergency Management).

No fiscal impact at this time, submission of grant application only. No cash match required. A new account will be established upon CC acceptance of the grant award, COR by the County Auditor's Office and appropriation of grant funds.
