Discussion, consideration, and approval to submit the grant application for the State Homeland Security Program and authorizing the County Judge to sign the required documents.

The purpose of the State Homeland Security Program is to solicit applications for projects that support state and local efforts to prevent terrorism and targeted violence and prepare for the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to the security of Texas citizens. Funding will be identified upon notice of grant award. The funds allocated through the State Homeland Security Program will be used to enhance the operational capacity and response efficiency of Hidalgo County during emergency operations. No fiscal impact at this time, submission of grant application only.
