SUMMARY
Two (2) Public Utility Easements are needed from Centerra Homeowners Association, an Arizona non-profit corporation (“Centerra HOA”) for project 42061 Traffic Signal Van Buren & 152nd Avenue to install a traffic signal and the appurtenances to the signal.

RECOMMENDATION
Approve and accept two (2) Public Utility and Sidewalk Easements from Centerra Homeowners Association (HOA). (Kimberly Romero, Real Estate Coordinator)
FISCAL IMPACT
The fiscal impact to the City in fiscal year 2024 for the acceptance of the two (2) Public Utility and Sidewalk Easements is $4,812 in compensation to Centerra HOA. The amount is already included in project 42061 Traffic Signal Van Buren & 152nd Avenue. There will be no impact in future years with the acceptance of the two easements.
BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS
The traffic signal installation at this location is included in the FY2024 Capital Improvement Plan and is included in the FY2024 CIP budget.
STAFF ANALYSIS
The easements being purchased from Centerra Homeowners Association are required to allow the City of Goodyear to install traffic signal equipment and to install sidewalk improvements to provide ADA access at the new signal locations. The location of the two (2) Public Utility and Sidewalk Easements have been reviewed by City Engineering staff and the easement is necessary to allow the City to install and maintain the traffic signals at this location.
