SUMMARY
The Fire Department held an election to select a member to serve on the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board and have elected Liam Tierney to serve.
Recommendation
Accept the election and appoint Liam Tierney to serve a full term as a Fire Member on the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board beginning January 29, 2022 and ending January 28, 2026. (Darcie McCracken, City Clerk)
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no direct budget impact associated with this appointment.
BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS
The Fire Department held an election from November 16, 2021 to December 27, 2021. 40 ballots were cast from 110 eligible sworn members and Liam Tierney received unanimous support for the position. Liam Tierney has been serving on the Board beginning November 5, 2019 completing the term of another member.
The City Clerk will administer the loyalty oath at the next meeting of the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board.
