SUMMARY
The National League of Cities Conference will be occurring March 14, 2022 rather than the week of March 7, 2022 as previously identified by staff requiring the Council Meeting calendar be amended.
Recommendation
Approve the Amended 2022 Council Meeting Calendar. (Darcie McCracken, City Clerk)
FISCAL IMPACT
No fiscal impact will result from approving the Amended 2022 Council Meeting Calendar.
BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS
Section 4.1 (Meeting Dates) of the Council's Rules of Procedures, adopted by Resolution 2018-1789, requires the City Clerk to submit to Council for adoption no later than November 1 a calendar of all Council meetings dates for the following calendar year. Staff reviewed options with Council at the October 22, 2021 retreat and Council approved the calendar on November 8, 2021.
Staff previously extrapolated that the National League of Cities (NLC) Conference would occur the first week of March in 2022. Staff has now been advised that the NLC Conference will occur the week of March 14, 2022. Members of Council typically attend the Conference and attendance would require their absence at the March 14 meeting.
