SUMMARY
Request Council approve a budgeted expenditure of $592,400 for award of a construction contract for traffic signal improvements at Sarival Avenue & Harrison Street.
Recommendation

FISCAL IMPACT
The construction costs of the traffic signal at Sarival Avenue & Harrison Street are budgeted in the FY2022 and FY2023 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) under Project 42011.
BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS
The project was programmed into the CIP with design in FY2020, which included roadway improvements from Yuma Road to Jefferson Street.
STAFF ANALYSIS
Long lead items have been ordered and will be delivered in December 2022. Construction of the project is scheduled to begin in December 2022 and is anticipated to be completed by the end of March 2023, which is approximately four months. The construction phase includes 28 days of wait time to obtain design strength on the concrete foundations. The City of Goodyear will own and maintain the traffic signal once completed.
