STAFF ANALYSIS
A liquor licensee is required to submit a formal request when they wish to change the physical arrangement of the licensed premises from the diagram on record at the DLLC. Examples include adding a patio, adding a room, or deleting windows, doors, dance floors, etc. Prior to approval, an inspection may be required by the state per A.R.S. § 4-207.01.
There are no licensed childcare facilities or K-12 schools within 300 feet of the location.
Unlike other liquor license applications, an application for an extension of premises/patio permit must be submitted to the local governing board for approval before submitting to the DLLC. After local approval, the DLLC has 45 days to process the permanent change of premises.
The City Council’s recommendation of approval, denial or no recommendation will be forwarded to the DLLC for their consideration.
