RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Ms. Roxane Ornelas in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
Ms. Roxane Ornelas, a City of Whittier resident, filed a property damage claim on February 28, 2024, in the amount of $630 for reimbursement to replace one tire and a rim on her vehicle. The claim alleges that on February 16, 2024, Ms. Ornelas was traveling on Lambert Road, between Cypress Street and Euclid Street, when she drove over a pothole resulting in damage to the front right tire and rim of her vehicle.
