APPROVE DENIAL OF LIABILITY CLAIM OF AUTOMOBILE CLUB OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

RECOMMENDATION:


That the City Council deny the claim of Automobile Club of Southern California in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.

DISCUSSION:

On May 6, 2024, the Automobile Club of Southern California filed a property damage claim on behalf of their insured, Teresa Lazo in the amount of $2,897.72. The claim alleges that on February 27, 2024, a City of La Habra Ambulance traveling southbound on Harbor Boulevard struck the claimant’s vehicle causing damage to the driver and passenger side doors. The claim has been tendered to Falck Mobile Health Corp. for handling.
