RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of American Automobile Club (AAA) in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On September 24, 2024, the American Automobile Club (AAA) filed a property damage claim on behalf of their insured, Mr. Suk Kyong Kang, in the amount of $3,724.46 for the reimbursement of repairs made to Mr. Kang’s vehicle. The claim alleges that on July 15, 2024, Mr. Kang was traveling on Imperial Highway approaching Beach Boulevard when an alleged City vehicle struck their insured’s vehicle causing damage to the lift gate, rear bumper, frame, and rear lights.
