RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Salma Nasoordeen and Hasni Aini in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On November 19, 2024, an attorney filed an excessive force and violations of constitutionally protected activities claim on behalf of Salma Nasoordeen and Hasni Aini. The claim alleges that on May 15 and May 16, 2024, the claimants were arrested and detained at the University of California Irvine (UCI) and Orange County Jail Intake and Release Center during a lawful and peaceful demonstration at the UCI campus.

None.
