| SUBJECT: | APPROVE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE SKATEBOARD PARK SECURITY CAMERAS AND LIGHTS, PROJECT 1-P-21

RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Notice of Completion for the Skateboard Park Security Cameras and Lights, Project 1-P-21; and authorize staff to submit the notice for recordation.
DISCUSSION:
On November 15, 2021, the City Council awarded a construction contract to Scansys, Inc., of Buena Park, California, in the amount of $94,684, which included a 15% contingency for the construction of the Skateboard Park Security Cameras And Lights, Project 1-P-21 (Project).
The project included: installation of eight new additional security cameras and four new security lights; the construction and installation of two camera poles; trenching and installation of electrical conduits and electrical hardware, such as wires, communication cables, and photocells; the installation of pullboxes; cleaning of existing cameras; and modification of existing electrical service panel board. All improvements have been completed. Staff conducted a final inspection and found that the work was satisfactory and in accordance with the Project plans and contract documents.
Upon acceptance by the City Council, staff will file the Notice at the County Recorder’s Office for recordation as noted in Attachment 1. "Before and after" photos for the Project are included as Attachment 2.

FISCAL IMPACT/SOURCE OF FUNDING:
The final cost of construction for the Project is $91,651, which is three percent under the approved purchase order amount of $94,684.
