RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council deny the claim of Mr. Ian Fernandez in order to set a definite six-month Statute of Limitations date.
DISCUSSION:
On July 31, 2024, Mr. Norbert Fernandez filed an amended bodily injury claim on behalf of Ian Fernandez, a minor child in the amount of $2,050. The claim alleges that on July 22, 2024, the claimant was riding his electronic bicycle traveling westbound on Imperial Highway on the sidewalk, when he struck cracks and a patch of gravel which resulted in falling off his bicycle causing bodily injuries.
