Resolution authorizing the use of Public Safety Aid funds to purchase a traffic safety vehicle.

Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
On April 22, 2024, the Council authorized the application for grant funding through the MN Office of Traffic Safety to purchase a vehicle that will address enforcement and education pertaining to distracted driving and other negative traffic related behaviors. The grant was awarded to the City in the amount of $72,325.
A budget has been completed for this vehicle and the total estimated cost is $106,060 including the vehicle, equipment, and buildout.
Public Safety Aid funds, up to $33,735, will be used to cover the costs not covered by the grant award.
