Resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for Minnesota Highway Freight Program at Veteran's Bridge.

Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
The Veteran’s Bridge has been scoped by MnDOT for a rehabilitation project in FY 2026. The required city share for this project is estimated at $8,030,000. The project has an estimated total cost of $27,000,000, of which MnDOT and the City of North Mankato are responsible for funding the remaining $18,970,000.
The Minnesota Highway Freight Program is financed by the federal National Highway Freight Program and state Trunk Highway funds that provide state support to make freight improvements. The program is administered by the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
