Resolution approving a Joint Powers Agreement with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force (MRVDTF).
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
Four counties and six cities in our region have joined together to create a regional drug task force to focus on and improve the collective narcotics enforcement, prevention, and education efforts in the area. The Joint Powers Agreement outlines the powers, authorities and responsibilities of membership in the task force. Without a signed joint powers agreement, the Mankato Department of Public Safety would not be able to continue participating in this endeavor.
