Motion approving amendment to 2024 Park Pilot Projects.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Motion approving modification to park pilot project from Sibley Park to Lions Lake Park.
Summary:
On May 13, 2024, the City Council approved several park pilot projects for this year. In the attempt to install the hammock stands at Sibley Park, on the top of the hill, the contractor ran into hard rock that he could not get through. Because of this, it is recommended that the two sets of hammock stands that were programmed to be installed at Sibley Park be moved and instead placed at Lions Lake Park, to the north of the playground. This park has ample green space to add these stands and nice shady trees to make the area comfortable.
