Resolution accepting feasibility report, ordering improvement, preparation of plans and specifications, and ordering advertisement for bids on Capital Improvement Project 11236; 2026 Rosewood Pond Outlet Improvements.
Recommendation/Action(s):
Adoption of the attached resolution.
Summary:
Rosewood Pond is located on the southern edge of Mankato. The pond is bound by South Brook Circle, South Brook Way, Rosewood Drive, and Monks Avenue. The past few summers have seen significant rainfall events. During those significant events, properties adjacent to Rosewood Pond have been at risk of flooding due to rising pond elevations. The proposed improvements would improve the outlet capacity of Rosewood Pond and decrease the risk of flooding for adjacent properties during large rainfall events.
Construction Services is recommending the Council consider these improvements per the attached feasibility report, estimated costs, and funding sources noted below:
