Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding approval of contract between the City of San Luis and a professional musical band, Los Chicos del 512 at the 2017 4th of July festivities. (Lizandro Galaviz, Parks & Recreation Director)
SUMMARY:
Year after year the Parks & Recreation Department has strived in providing our community with great entertainment for our 4th of July festivities. This year, we are working very hard to continue to amaze our community with great musical performances that make their 4th of July experience memorable. That is why we are currently working on getting the best Selena Tribute, Los Chicos del 512, for our 4th of July event. They have have been touring various cities and have been a great success and we believe they will put on a great show for all ages. Los Chicos del 512 are composed of great and talented artists who are from our own home town as well. We are confident that Los Chicos del 512 will provide a great atmosphere and amazing live entertainment for our community who deserve nothing but the very best.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE THE CONTRACT WITH THE MUSICAL BAND, LOS CHICOS DEL 512 FOR THE FESTIVITIES ON FOURTH OF JULY 2017 IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,000.00.
