Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 1195. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, adopting a Public Records Request Fee Schedule. (Sonia Cornelio, City Clerk)
SUMMARY:
Arizona's public records law requires that public records and other matters in the custody of any officer shall be open to inspection by any person at all times during office hours. In addition to the public's right to inspect public records at all times during business hours, Arizona's public records law allows public bodies to provide copies of public records upon request. Public bodies may charge certain fees when responding to a request for copies of public records.
The City Clerk's Office posted on the City's website the notice of intent to adopt a Public Records Request Fee Schedule for 60 days as required by law. The City of San Luis has never adopted a fee schedule for public records requests.
