ITEM:
Discussion and possible directions to staff on any and all matters regarding approval of Resolution No. 2005. A resolution of the Mayor and Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, approving the continuation of an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of San Luis and the Superior Court in Yuma County for the purpose of providing a field trainer for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. SUMMARY:
In the past, the City of San Luis has entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Superior Court in Yuma County to assist in securing a position of a field trainer. The field trainer provides training on automation systems and business practices for the San Luis Municipal Court as well as the other Municipal Courts, Justice Courts, and the Superior Court in Yuma County. This training helps ensure uniformity within the county's court in both computerized systems and business practices. The field trainer is funded by revenues from the State of Arizona Administrative Office of the Court (AOC) and local Judicial Collection Enhancement Funds (JCEF). Since 2008, the City of San Luis has committed $1,000.00 per year out of its JCEF revenue to contribute to the personnel costs of the field trainer.
