ITEM:
Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding a contract with James Davey and Associates, Inc. for construction administration services for the Price Center Roof Improvements. (Jenny Torres, Economic Development Manager)
SUMMARY:
The City of San Luis allocated funding to improve the 23-year-old roof for the building known as the Price Center Building. The improvements consist of removal of existing foam roofing system, framing over existing skylight openings with steel deck and installation of insulated PVC roof system. The city previously contracted with James Davey and Sternco Engineering for the schematic design and roof replacement architectural services. The design and contract documents are complete and we are ready to go out to bid. Due to the complexity of the project, we are requesting construction administration services to be provided by the same firms that designed the project. Staff recommends the approval of the contract with James Davey and Associates, Inc. for the construction administration services in the amount of $24,710.00. James Davey and Associates, Inc. is a provider on the on-call engineering services list, per Resolution No. 1143.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE THE CONTRACT WITH JAMES DAVEY AND ASSOCIATES, IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,710.00 AS PRESENTED.
