Discussion and possible actions on any and all matters regarding a contract with Berkeley Research Group, LLC., associated with the Development of Feasibility Study for Natural Gas in San Luis, Arizona. (Jenny Torres, Economic Development Manager)
SUMMARY:
The City of San Luis was awarded a technical assistance grant in the amount of $161,050.00 from North American Development Bank (NADB) to develop a Natural Gas Feasibility Study in San Luis, Arizona. The purpose of the study is to review and evaluate the feasibility to develop a project to install the necessary infrastructure for natural gas supply and distribution grid in the communities of San Luis, Arizona, and San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico. The City of San Luis solicited consulting services on May 16, 2019. Staff received three (3) proposals from qualified consulting firms. The project's review committee ranked and selected Berkeley Research, LLC, and determined it to be the most qualified bidder. Under our purchasing code 36.04, the lowest responsible bidder is considered to have the ability, capacity, and skill of the bidder to perform the contract or provide the service required. Staff recommends awarding the contract to Berkeley Research Group, LLC., to develop the feasibility study in the amount of $178,944.00.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO AWARD BERKELEY RESEARCH GROUP, LLC THE BID FOR THE FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR NATURAL GAS IN THE AMOUNT OF $178,944 AS PRESENTED.
