Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding re-appointment of three (3) City of San Luis residents to serve on the City of San Luis Planning and Zoning Commission. (Jose A. Guzman, Director of Planning and Zoning)
SUMMARY:
Currently, seven (7) Commission Members are serving on the City of San Luis Planning and Zoning Commission:
Chairman Marco A. Pinzon
Vice-Chairman Veronica Zavala
Commission Member Javier Barraza
Commission Member Hugo Garcia
Commission Member Guillermina Fuentes
Commission Member Case W. Van Veen
Commission Member George Amaya
City Code Section 18.10.020 (E) Term of office. The term of office of the members of the Commission shall be four years, with the terms of members so staggered that the terms of no more than three members shall expire on January 31 in any one year. The incumbent Commissioner shall continue to serve after their term of office has expired, until a successor has been appointed. In the event of a death, resignation, or removal from the Commission, a resident appointment by the City Council shall fill the vacancy, for the un-expired term.
The following commission members' terms are expired:

Commission Hugo Garcia
They would like to continue serving as commission members for another term. The new term expiration date will be January 31, 2026.
