Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Second Reading of Ordinance No. 353. An ordinance of the Mayor and Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, amending Title XV of the San Luis City Code, Chapter 150, adopting by reference NFPA 1 Fire Code 2012 (National Fire Protection Association 1 Fire Code 2012), including Annexes A, B, D, E, and G, and the amendments and providing a penalty for violations thereof. SUMMARY:
The City of San Luis Fire Department is requesting City Council's action of a Second Reading and the adoption of Ordinance No. 353.
The City of San Luis Fire Department is currently using (enforcing) the NFPA 1 Uniform Fire Code 2003. The City of Yuma and the City of Somerton have adopted the NFPA 1 Fire Code 2012. When adopted, municipal fire departments, code enforcement, building construction and building inspections will be under the same Fire Code.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
