Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the purchase of one (1) new animal control and one (1) new patrol vehicle. (Victor Figueroa, Lieutenant)
SUMMARY:
The San Luis Police Department is in need of replacing one (1) of the two (2) animal control vehicles that are currently in operation. Each of these two (2) vehicles have over 150,000 miles on them. By having this vehicle in our fleet it will provide better animal control services to the community and ensure that we provide timely services. The vehicle requested is a Ford 2017 F-150 XL 4x2 Super Cab Style Side 8 foot box 163 inch wheel base.
The San Luis Police Department is also asking for approval to purchase a patrol vehicle that will be added to the current patrol fleet. The addition of this vehicle will help maintain our fleet and replace existing older vehicles. The vehicle requested is a Ford 2017 Utility Police Inceptor base all wheel drive.
The San Luis Police Department is requesting to purchase these two (2) fully equipped vehicles from Chapman Ford in the amount of $54,294.53 and equipped by Arizona Emergency Products in the amount of $47,147.83. Chapman Ford is under State Contract ADSPO12-016662 and Arizona Emergency Products is under the Yavapai County Contract #111201 which will be in accordance with the San Luis Purchasing Code Section 36.09, Cooperative Purchasing.

I MOVE TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) ANIMAL CONTROL VEHICLE AND ONE (1) PATROL VEHICLE FOR THE AMOUNT OF $54,295.00 FOR BOTH AND EQUIP BOTH VEHICLES FOR THE AMOUNT OF $47,148.00 AS PRESENTED.

San Luis Police Department got funded $51,210.00 for a Ford F-150 Truck for Animal Control and $53,130.00 for a Ford Explorer for patrol under the capital projects for FY17.
