Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the Memorandum of Understanding with the Humane Society of Yuma for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. (Tadeo A. De La Hoya, City Manager)
SUMMARY:
Service: The Humane Society of Yuma provides kenneling, quarantine, and euthanasia services for stray animals or animals that have bitten people.
Amount: The City has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Humane Society of Yuma in the past and has already budgeted funds up to $80,000.00 for services to continue until the end of the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 on June 30, 2018. Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the City will pay for services as needed depending upon the number of animals and the services.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE, RATIFY AND AUTHORIZE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AND CONTINUE THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF YUMA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $80,000.00.
