ITEM:
Discussion and possible directions to staff on any and all matters regarding the Memorandum of Understanding with the Humane Society of Yuma for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. (Tadeo A. De La Hoya, City Manager)
SUMMARY:
Service: The Humane Society of Yuma provides kenneling, quarantine, and euthanasia services for stray animals or animals that have bitten people in the city.
Amount: The city has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Humane Society of Yuma in the past and has already budgeted funds up to $80,000.00 for services to continue until the end of the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 on June 30, 2018. Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the City will pay for services as needed depending upon the number of animals and the services and the fee schedule in the Memorandum of Understanding.
