ITEM:

Public hearing followed by discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2040.  A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, authorizing the submission of application for FY 2017 State Community Development Block Grant State Special Projects funds (CDBG-SSP), certifying that said application meets the community’s previously identified housing and community development needs and the requirements of the State CDBG program, and authorizing all actions necessary to implement and complete the activities outlined in said application.  (Jenny Torres, Economic Development Manager)

SUMMARY:

The Arizona Department of Housing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program requires that a public hearing be held at a regular meeting of the local governing body to allow citizens to comment on the proposed projects to be funded with CDBG funds and adopt resolutions selecting the project to be forwarded to the state in the application for CDBG funding. Staff is recommending International Plaza I Improvements Project for Community Development Block Grant State Special Projects. No other projects were submitted.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

I MOVE TO APPROVE AND ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2040.
